San Francisco Photography Club

I am blessed to be able call this client not only my friend, but have also been fortunate enough to benefit from her amazing photography skills. She has done our family photos for the last few years and each year, I am honestly so incredibly happy with the results. She is able to capture moments and images that I (and her many other clients) will treasure for a lifetime. She is truly gifted and I am grateful to have her in our lives. So, when she asked me to make her some cupcakes to take down to her Bay Area Photo Club, I wanted to make her something that reflected both the Bay and the Club. Here is a shot of the finished product….to check out her link http://aimeejordanphotography.com

Izabelle’s Dora inspired 4th b-day cupcakes
Posted on January 18, 2011
These Dora inspired cupcakes were made for a very special little girl. She’s just turned 4 and is a huge fan of Dora the Explorer. I pulled in some of the more recognizable characters/concepts for the decorations, as well as some flowers and polka dots for added variety. Her mom requested Hummingbird cake, which I topped with my Cream Cheese
Butter-cream.

Make your holiday season SPECTACULAR!!!
Posted on November 4, 2010
With the holidays fast approaching, it’s time to start considering what you can do to make your holiday events more memorable. And, easier on you!! Instead of making a traditional Pumpkin Pie, what if you served up some Sweet Potato cupcakes with Toasted Marshmallow Frosting or Spiced Pumpkin cupcakes with Cream Cheese Buttercream? Open Faced Apple Pie cupcakes with a dollop of Vanilla Bean Whipped Frosting look gorgeous arranged on a table, surrounded by softly glowing tea-lights. Top any of these cupcake creations off with some hand-crafted Turkeys, Pilgrims or Pumpkins and you’ve brought not only saved yourself the trouble and stress of preparing dessert, you’ve provided a dazzling dessert display that will surely be talked about for months to come!!! Place your order now and check “dessert” off your holiday list!

Silva Valley Harvest Festival
Posted on October 19, 2010
This year I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in Silva Valley’s Annual Harvest Festival. I had a blast and loved being able to donate 100% of the proceeds right back to the school. I made lots of cupcakes for “display” purposes and was so happy to see the reactions people had to them. Here is one of my favorites. Inspired by the board game Candy land. Check out my albums for the other 25 new pictures!

Ashley’s 18th Birthday Bash!!!
Posted on September 1, 2010
I have to say that I have created cupcakes for some pretty cool events, however has come close to topping Ashley’s 18th birthday bash. It was a gorgeous celebration and my hat goes off to her mother, Chel, for pulling together such an amazing event. Ashley is one lucky girl!
The butter-cream was colored in white and various shades of purple, tying into the color scheme of the party. Four different designs topped these cupcakes, including sugar diamonds that I cast and colored myself. I have to say that the entire display was FANTASTIC and I was very pleased. Here’s a photo to check out. Be sure to look in the Bridal album for more….

Maggie’s 3rd Birthday
Posted on August 18, 2010
All of my clients have been fantastic thus far, however my favorite clients are the babies that I care for on a daily basis. One of my daycare “babies” turned 3 the end of July. She’s grown up so fast and I love her funny sense of humor and her true belief that she is a ” princess”. So, for her birthday her parents planned a party at an Art Center in downtown Sacramento. The kids all had a blast and they all seemed to enjoy these Princess Themed cupcakes. I have to give credit to my wonderful assistants for the night, Erica and Delaney. I gave them my ideas and they created them beautifully. Thanks girls!!!

St. Jude Children’s Hospital Telethon-Channel 13
Posted on July 8, 2010
I was so honored to be asked to participate in the telethon for St Jude Children’s Hospital on Channel 13. The telethon aired on Sunday, June 27 from 3-5pm. I was asked create something special for Elizabeth Lobato, a patient at St. Jude ’ Hospital. Elizabeth was born with something you may more commonly know as Brittle Bones Disease. She was given a life expectancy of 10 years and had just celebrated her 12th birthday two days before the telethon, Friday 25th. I was told Elizabeth loved pink and all things sparkly. I decided to do a “Glamour Girl” theme for her birthday cupcakes. I made tubes of lipstick, bottle of nail polish, lip gloss compacts, pearl necklaces, different handbags, jewelryboxes with
diamond earrings and a shopping bag with 3 shades of pink tissue paper. It was such an amazing event to be part of and more importantly, Elizabeth loved her cupcakes. Here are a couple pics from that day…

Paul and Rosie’s Wedding Brunch
Posted on July 7, 2010
These are bridal cupcakes that I made for Paul and Rosie Chollet. They were married on Monday June 21st (the first day of summer), at daybreak. They had an outdoor wedding reception the following Saturday, at their home in Auburn. I made a trio of flavors (Pink Champagne, Dark Chocolate and Vanilla Bean) and the cupcakes went beautifully with their outdoor celebration.
